Depending on your unique medical conditions and the operation you require, the entire process may take 3 to 12 months. Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect:
Our dentists take 3D x-rays as well as scans and photos to assess your teeth, gums and jaw bone. If your jawbone is not strong enough to support the post, you may require bone grafting.
Healing time: Three-four months
A titanium screw (also known as a metal grade post or abutment) is attached to your jawbone and acts as a replacement for the root of your tooth. Over time, the implant is fused with the jawbone, and the gum is secured over the implant.
Healing time: Two weeks
Once healing has taken place, the porcelain crown is attached to the implant post. You can now enjoy your beautiful, new smile!
Healing time: Up to three months
